Rowing Comeback of VŠE

Last Friday, under the Vyšehrad rock, the Legendary Rowing Race on the Vltava River took place. It was the 110th edition of the SEV.EN Primátorky held under the auspices of the Mayor of Prague. The race was exceptional, especially due to the renewed participation of the newly formed VŠE team after 5 years of absence.

 The whole event began with a race of university students from 9 different universities. Representatives from 15 secondary schools and para-rowers competing for a nomination for the Paralympic Games had also their races.

 This race was unique not only because our university managed to assemble a completely new team of 8+ men from 4 different faculties but also because they qualified for the final through their victory in the opening heat. Considering that it was a group mainly consisting of not active rowers, it is absolutely amazing that the guys decided to compete and even earned their position in the final of the higher A-category.

 We believe that their determination will inspire other talented athletes to try to represent the Prague University of Economics and Business and that we will see more of these fantastic performances.
