Bank of the future

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to come and listen to the lecture entitled “The Road to the Bank of the Future: KB’s Digital Transformation as a Result of the Corporation’s Partnership with Start-ups”, which will take place on Monday, 6 November 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in RB210.

And what you will learn…

When building the bank of the future, it pays to take inspiration from those who can see the furthest into it – fintech (finance + technology) start-ups. Because by combining business and cutting-edge modern technology, they put the customer and their experience at the centre.

Komerční banka was not only inspired by start-ups, but also founded one of its own – KB SmartSolutions. It is helping it with probably the most important digital-transformation project in the country, the new era of KB banking. What’s more, she also knows how to motivate her employees and representatives effectively.

For example, the people at KB have developed from the ground up a new banking core system, channels and card management system, elegant microservices architecture, simplified services and processes. KB customers have the same pleasant experience whether they use the new KB+ mobile app or deal with bankers at branches.

The benefits of large corporations partnering with fintechs and the road they have travelled together so far will be presented by an expert above all others, start-up scout Tomas Michalek from KB SmartSolutions.

Tomáš Michálek is an expert in EU fintech and works at KB SmartSolutions as a Startup Scout, where he is involved in creating mutually beneficial partnerships to create the bank of the future. With expertise in areas such as Embedded Finance, Open Banking and Cryptocurrencies, Tomáš has a unique ability to bridge the worlds of business and technology. He is a passionate advocate of technology and innovation. Tomas has also founded and built his own company focused on 3D printing services.
