What’s new at acr VŠE

acr VŠE has a long tradition at the Prague University of Economics and Business beginning in 1999. Since the start of 2021, a new director Mgr. Ing. Martin Rey has taken over and many important changes have happened since.

acr VŠE now has three specialized centers namely Career Centre (KC), Event Centre (EC) and Alumni Centre (AC). The centers work closely together and each of the centers is an irreplaceable part of acr VŠE. Furthermore, acr VŠE also manages partnerships made with the Prague University of Economics and Business.

The Career Centre of VŠE (KC VŠE is charged with connecting students and alumni with workplaces. VŠE offers attractive services, which help students start a successful career as well as ease their entry into the job market. KC VŠE holds career fairs, workshops, individual career counseling and numerous other events and activities. The Career Centre also helps students overcome their current or potential career issues and challenges. Career Centre VŠE is trying to swiftly react to the needs of employees regarding their employees to facilitate the recruitment of qualified students and graduates of VŠE. Contact with VŠE students is secured by the Career Centre for partner and cooperating companies for example via in-person meetings or targeted advertising. Service portfolio of KC VŠE has recently been expanded by the Jobeeto platform, a project created in collaboration with the Faculty of Business Administration VŠE, whose goal is to connect VŠE students with employers using modern technology. The Event Centre of VŠE (EC VŠE) organizes or co-organizes the biggest social, professional and sporting events of our university. To be specific, it organizes one of the largest university balls in Europe, quality sporting events, Introductory Camp VŠE, Talent VŠE, Alumni Nights and Career Fair ŠANCE. EC works closely with the Career and Alumni Centres as per the organizational structure of acr VŠE. The Event Centre helps the university as a whole, its faculties, workplaces, societies, employees and partners hold and co-organize events.

The Alumni Centre VŠE regularly holds professional lectures, informal meetings and sporting activities for VŠE graduates in order to provide them with an opportunity to stay a part of our university even after finishing their studies. The aim of the Alumni Centre is to provide our alumni with an opportunity to meet their former teachers and classmates, visit and support their Alma Mater, attend interesting lectures and various events. The Alumni Portal has been founded for all VŠE graduates. Alumni nights, Alumni Wednesdays and other events for our alumni take place regularly.

acr VŠE is preparing many new projects and is trying to make its current services more attractive as well as offer new ones. You can look forward to it
