Grant Thornton has become the new Main Partner of the Prague University of Economics and Business

Grant Thornton Czech Republic a.s. has increased its partnership activity with VŠE via the Partnership Centre VŠE and has thus become the new Main Partner of Prague University of Economics and Business. Grant Thornton Czech Republic a.s. has shown interest in not only supporting student activities and events held by VŠE but also extending current cooperation with the Faculty of Finance and Accounting VŠE, where it wishes to actively participate in teaching of certain subjects and support research and activities of student organizations at FFA.

On Friday October 14, a formal celebratory meeting with the representatives of Grant Thornton Czech Republic a.s. took place to commemorate the change in partner status while the company logo was placed on the Partner Board at the entangle to New Building VŠE. Representing VŠE, the meeting was attended by Dennis Billík, the head of Partnership Centre VŠE. Representing Grant Thornton Czech Republic a.s. at the meeting were Hedvika Nová and Daniel Valeš from the Marketing department.

Partnership Centre VŠE falls under the Alumni & Corporate relations and its main objective is to ensure high quality cooperation with current VŠE Partners as well as to acquire new partners. The head of the Partnership Centre VŠE, Dennis Billík, also commented on the increase in partner cooperation with Grant Thornton Czech Republic a.s. “I am glad the new dynamic established in the corporate partnership area caused an increase in cooperation with our long-standing partner. However, I would like to mention that gratitude for the whole process of negotiations regarding the increased cooperation is due to Tomáš Brabenec, who is one of the board members at Grant Thornton Czech Republic a.s. while being an academic and researcher at the Department of Corporate Finance FFA VŠE. I look forward to further collaboration with Grant Thornton and believe students of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting VŠE will appreciate the participation of professionals in teaching.
